Here are more fun pics in the park of John, Nicole, Bangkok and Bijan! These images were shot by Jason with his new Canon EOS 1V, utilizing Fuji Superia X-TRA 800 film.
Be sure to check back as we are shooting Sam and Ahna’s wedding on December 12th. We will be using 35mm film for most of the day. Thanks for stopping by!
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think John and Lindsay may have taken us to a burger joint in Harrisonburg whose burgers are better, if not just as good as Riverside Lunch in Charlottesville. That place is called Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint, and maybe they’re so good because that’s all they serve. Well, there’s fries and deep fried Oreos, too. I had ordered an Oreo, but never got around to eating it. I felt like I needed a gurney after eating there, but everything was soooo good. This is where John, Lindsay, Jason and I all went to eat after shooting John and Lindsay’s engagement portraits. We started inside their lovely home that John had finished building recently, and then we all headed to JMU’s Arboretum. We look forward to their wedding next year in May, which will be held at Lindsay’s father’s magnificent property in Great Falls, VA.
Jonathan and Rachel hung out with me and Jason late last week around the UVA gardens. We were in hopes of finding some beautiful flowers to incorporate into their engagement photos. We must have missed the window of the spring blooms however, because everything was green and there wasn’t a flower in sight. No worries. The greenery in this town is just so remarkable, and walking through the gardens in the late afternoon was so invigorating. After leaving the gardens we all ventured over to the Oakencroft Winery in Charlottesville for more shots of our town’s magical landscapes.
Jason and I spent a lovely late afternoon with this gorgeous couple in the quaint area of Belmont and a yummy evening at Mas. We are looking forward to their wedding in late August, which will be celebrated at the Omni. Many of their family and guests will be traveling from Croatia, Germany and other places abroad. I look forward to the diversity, culture and esoteric food!
This adorable couple in love is Amanda and Steve. They’re getting married on April 19th here in Charlottesville at the UVA Chapel with a reception at the Greencroft Club. They ‘met while attending Mary Washington College. Both were collegiate athletes, Business majors, and had mothers who went to the same all-girls catholic school, at the same time, in Akron Ohio.’
Stay tuned for more Steve and Amanda, when their wedding pics will be posted later next month!
Jason and I had first listened to the Montebello String Quartet a month ago performing at Andre and Charlie Anne’s wedding at King Family Vineyard. Their music was absolutely beautiful and provided such a wonderful enhancement to the wedding celebration. I had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours one morning with the four talented musicians. If you would like to find out if the Montebello String Quartet is available for your wedding date, please email them at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 434-979-3278.
These are bridal shots that we took of Charlie Anne a week ago. She and her hubby Andre, who is a were legally married earlier this year, but are going to celebrate their married togetherness next month amongst friends and family. After Jason and I photograph their wedding day, we will have the privelidge of shooting Charlie Anne’s family reunion the following day. It is going to be an eclectic mix of familes; her family hailing mostly from Georgia, and then some of Andre’s, who will be traveling from London and Brazil.
