J.J. and Helen’s Wedding: The Inn at Little Washington – Washington, VA

What a privilege it is to not only witness two friends getting married, but to also be asked to photograph their wedding!  We are so happy for J.J. and Helen.  It was a day of kisses, tears, mustache tattoos, sunshine and getting married by a mayor!  Their beautiful and intimate celebration was shared with their family at the breathtaking Inn at Little Washington.

From the outside, The Inn at Little Washington seemed like an unassuming and modest little country cottage.  This was our first time at the Inn, so we arrived nearly and hour and a half early to recon.  Our jaws just dropped to the floor when we walked inside the main Inn.   Jason sputtered something about being lost inside a mafia movie.  I felt as if I was in a Lilliputan fantasy world…. every room was so uniquely lavish, yet at the same time possessed a comfortable and unpretentious feel.  I was totally enchanted with every room I visited, from the romantic and silky guest dining area to the blue velvet walls of the corridor next to a lounge room of wallpapered…. monkeys.
